I’ve just settled back into my routine after returning from this year’s National Trumpet Competition, hosted at Metro State University in Denver. It was a great weekend catching up with old friends, making new contacts, and hearing a lot of great trumpet playing, both in the ensemble and solo divisions. I was honored to serve as a judge in the Semi-Finals of the Undergraduate Division this year. If you’ve never been, especially if you’re young enough to be eligible to compete, plan on attending next year – March 8-10 at the University of North Texas. www.nationaltrumpetcomp.org.
Now back to practicing.
