Studio Overview

Ready to take your playing to the next level? My lessons are designed for motivated trumpet players who are ready to take their playing seriously. Working together, we’ll focus on developing your technique and musicianship to reach your potential.

Who I Work With

• Advanced middle and high school musicians preparing for auditions, competitions, or college applications
• College students seeking supplemental instruction or specialized coaching in specific areas
• Adult players refining technique, consistency, or musical development

What to Expect

Personalized Instruction. Each student receives weekly 1-on-1 lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes). Customized weekly practice plans are based on the technical work and repertoire needed for your specific needs and the timeline for accomplishing your goals.

Support Beyond the Lesson. Lessons include audition preparation, solo literature coaching, ensemble skills, and musical interpretation, helping students develop the judgment to make strong musical decisions independently in practice and performance. Written feedback and supplemental materials are provided in the Studio Portal, and I maintain open communication with students and families throughout the process.

Professional Standards. Students can expect high standards with a strong emphasis on fundamentals and musicality. Lessons are structured to balance appropriate challenge with encouragement, and students are expected to practice consistently between lessons and come prepared to ensure steady progress.

Lesson Format & Location

In-Person Lessons are the standard format, taught at my home studio in the North Druid Hills area of Atlanta.

Online Lessons are available only for:

• Students outside Metro Atlanta
• Occasional make-ups when scheduling conflicts prevent in-person lessons

Getting Started

All new students begin with a free 30-minute trial lesson where we assess your current playing and discuss your goals, determine if my teaching approach aligns with your learning style, and review scheduling, materials, and policies. This trial helps ensure we’re a good fit before making a long-term commitment.

Tuition & Scheduling

Lesson Rates (Fall/Spring Semesters – typically 16-18 lessons each)

• 30 minutes: $40 per lesson (~$640-$720 per Fall/Spring term)
• 45 minutes: $60 per lesson (~$960-$1,080 per Fall/Spring term)
• 60 minutes: $80 per lesson (~$1,280-$1,440 per Fall/Spring term)

Payment & Commitment

• Monthly invoicing, payment due by the 10th of each month
• Payment methods: Venmo, Zelle, cash, or secure online payment through the studio portal
• Semester commitment expected for Fall/Spring terms
• Summer lessons work around student travel, camps, and family schedules—students may register for 4–10 lessons based on their availability

Current Schedule

• Fall 2026:
  • Mondays, 4:00-6:15 p.m.
  • Tuesdays, 3:30-7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 4:00-5:45 p.m.
  • Thursdays, 4:00-6:45 p.m.
• Fridays/weekends are reserved for make-up lessons only
