Here’s what I was focused on on April 17, 2017:
I’m in the middle of a fairly busy concert/gig season. I just finished big Good Friday and Easter Sunday performances that included Brahms’ German Requiem, Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, and Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets. In the next three weeks I have two musicals, two quintet gigs, and three stand-alone concerts.
It’s also concert week for the Elon Brass Quintet, the student quintet I coach at Elon University. We have a full program of our favorite compositions and arrangements, as well as four original arrangements by a few of the students.
I’m working on a proposal to present at a 2018 conference, and I’m communicating with an organization about the possibility of becoming an endorsing artist. I hope to have news on these items soon!
I’m still pondering the next year, job-wise. No news since I last updated this page.
And I’m still trying to plan at least a short vacation this summer – really feeling the need to get some extended downtime with my family.
